Burgundy Silks are Rare Vintage!

       

Make no mistake, Aeclectic Goddess's Burgundy Silks are no "vin ordinaire", these are the dazzling "Grande Marque" of silks. Yes they exhibit the sparkly exhuberence characteristic of many pretenders, but gulp them down in a glance and you risk missing their full flavor. Instead, sip here and there, let your eyes linger, and really savor the full body. You won't be disappointed!

The velvety burgundy top and matching underskirt give this collection a rich, mature flavor. 1,001 Arabian Combinations(with apologies to Sheherazade)

There was once a slave girl in the land of Dalmatia. She had been sold into servitude to a sultan by her parents to settle a debt incurred after her father bought what turned out to be worthless desert from an oily fly-by-carpet dealer. All she owned were the clothes on her back; a simple cloth halter and matching dress, almost a loincloth really, and panties. Just before she was handed over to her master, her mother gave her an ancient golden bracelet, and told her to wear it before going to bed.




Now her lustful master intended to make her his latest concubine, one of a hundred other Dalmatian women he had already bedded from around the land. As he was very wealthy, she was fitted with a fine gold collar, and fettered with golden leg and ankle bands. And he had her decorated with a delicate golden bhindi and belly jingle to signify she belonged to him. That evening he had her brought before him. Seeing him unclothed upon his bed, she slipped on the bracelet as her mother instructed.




She immediately began to dance, for the bracelet was enchanted and permitted its wearer to perform any of 10 belly dances. Her master was so entranced that he forgot all about his intentions. After a time she said, "If I wore silks, master, instead of these rags, would I not be even more enchanting?" A short beaded skirt and veils were fetched and she tied them about her waist to obscure her simple shift.

On she danced while her Master sat enthralled. Again she spoke, saying, "Would my arms look lovelier if they were also covered in silk?" Her master bade the clothier to immediately fashion delicate silk wings. These caught the desert breeze and fluttered as she spun and cavorted about the camp.

As she continued dancing he fell deeper into her hypnotic spell! She said, "If one silk looks this beautiful imagine what it might look like with a whole skirt of silks?" A full prim dress was quickly custom ordered. She continued to dance, and the last thing her master heard before sufffering a massive coronary was, "Mind if I borrow this turban and veil?"

Features now hidden by the veil, she nonchalantly strolled out of the sultan's tent with a fortune in gold heirlooms and priceless silks, fading into the desert like a mirage. She was last seen in Morocco in the company of two score bandits headed by a man named Baba, first name Ali. There is a $10,000L reward for any information leading to her capture or arrest.

Aummmmmmmmmmmm........my Goddess!!!!

I am absolutely ecstatic about these Priestess Silks from Aeclectic Goddess!!! Elisandra Ree has selected a black, purple and gold color scheme for this elegant collection, certainly tasteful for ecclesiastics of most faiths. The ankle length shoulder drape in back is reminiscent of a Bishop's stole, only demonstrating some fashion sense evidently lacking in most priestly garb. It is my firm belief attendance would increase in the Catholic Church if they only ordained and adorned female priests like this! (I know, I'm going to hell, but I'll be the best dressed heretic there!)

While the complete Priestess outfit is suitable for all formal occasions (weddings, consecrations, sacrifices, etc.), you can drop the skirt and top for more intimate...ceremonies. The modest purple bra is anything but simple, fully cupping each breast, and adorned with beautiful embrodiery that just peeks out above the formal top when that piece is also worn. Once again Elisandra demonstrates that "sexy" is not necessarily about how much skin is revealed!











A close up shows that the belly jingle is actually comprised of smaller gold and purple silks that flutter seductively with each breath taken. Flaring ankle length silks dangle from the heavy gold belt and chains about the waist, with more delicate silk tassels matching those in the belly jingle. Beneath these lies a modest purple embroidered g-string, barely visible in this picture, but guaranteed to get a rise out of even the stiffest kundalini!



Elisandra has also provided a collection of jewelry that literally radiates the spirit of prosperity as well as the blessings of femininity! A simple gold Bhindi attaches to the forehead to symbolize the inner spirit of the third eye. A brilliant gold choker adorned with amethysts and more of the lil silks fastens to the throat like a misplaced (though hopefully not undeserved) halo. Ornate gold arm bands afix to both upper arms, and as you might expect, there is also the trademark Elisandra Ree leg band with matching tassels, and anklet, too. Aeclectic Goddess's Aquamarine Silver Belly Dance Silks make quite a Splash!

Dress like a water nymph in Aeclectic Goddess's Aquamarine Silver Belly Dance silks! As you might expect from the name, this sparkly number is equipped with 10 seductive Belly Dances, and a stop option, all accessed via a randomly selected chat menu. There are 13 pieces, total. I would normally expect to see lots of silky accessories with Elisandra Ree's creations, so I was surprised to see that she's gone silvery instead with this flashy collection.

From the dazzling bhindi to the coins dangling from the bracelet and anklet, this outfit shimmers! Blue gems run like drops of water off the elegant silver choker, and decorate the arm and legband, too. Look closely at the flower like symbol on the choker, and you will notice it is made of 8 smaller drops. A larger drop runs down the cleavage, between rising swells, to dangle in anticipation before splashing down into waves below.

Like foam riding the crest of a wave, the silver belt settles upon the rise of the hips, casting droplets off all around. Smaller silver chains seem to ripple just below the surface. Rich blue silks flow down the front and back, widening at the knees and then tapering at the ankles to display the legbands. The modest (like me) may also wear the tiny black bikini bottom, for all the good it does! lol

Do the dance of the 7 veils in these plush new Jamilla silks from Aeclectic Goddess! This monster collection contains 19 separate pieces and silks galore, including two armbands, two wrist bands, a silk scarf skirt, and face veil! OK, make that the dance of the 6 veils, but this seemingly endless variations make this collection well worth the price!



As with Elisandra's other silks, there is more here than you could possibly choose to wear any at one time. This picture really shows off the various scarves. The optional dance bracelet contains 10 belly dances that bring the scarves to life! Aeclectic Goddess’s Peacock Silks

   

Elisandra Ree’s flamboyant Peacock silks are all about flash, as you might expect. All of the sparkling gold jewelry may attract attention initially, but the silks are the inspiration for the name of this colorful outfit. Click on the close-up picture of the silk below to really appreciate the attention to detail. The colors are spectacular! Any peacock would rightly envy this outfit!

To avoid detracting from the gorgeous tail feathers, the bodice has been left deliberately simple and modest. A dark blue velvet, it is trimmed with just dash of leathery looking trim at top and bottom of the cleavage (and in back). Its only attempt at dazzle is the beautiful coin belly jingle, which may be detached if not wanted, but who wouldn’t want it?!?!

Two glorious “tail feather” silks drape to mid-calf in both front and back. The waistband is a bold arrangement of large golden beads and smaller dangling chains. Continuing the theme from the top, strings of coins hang from the belt and smaller, delicate peacock feathers dangle in-between these.

This is all topped off by a dazzling collection of golden accessories! The collar looks worthy of Cleopatra, bearing more of the coins, and a slender chain from which hang the smallest of the feathers. A pair of earrings sporting peacock eyes matching those on the belt are supplied, as well as a Bhindi. Dazzling arm and leg bands, and bracelets and anklets complete the set!

Aeclectic Goddess's Jade silks

I am really excited to review Aeclectic Goddess's Jade silks from Elisandra Ree, because this is the sort of review that writes itself. I had so much fun trying on the accessories I could hardly tear myself away from the camera long enough to write this. Elegant, playful, sexy - these silks have it all!



The whole set contains 20 pieces and the possible number of combinations is so high it baffles my mathematically challenged mind. Roewan will probably kill me for all the full body shots, but I wanted to capture just a few of the possible looks. Click on the pictures to see them in larger scale to really appreciate the details.



Six different dress styles are included; dance belt with and without silks, an elegant brocade perfect for formal occasions, long and short silk skirts, and waist scarves. The silks themselves are attached to both belt and wings. The cloth is a luscious dark green, with just a dash of gold embroidery up the center. Lighter green scroll work decorates the brocade giving them a rich, velvety look I could almost feel.



Elisandra has also included a wide collection of beautiful accessories. Mix-n-match gold and Jade bling includes Bhindi, earrings, collar, wrist, leg and ankle bands. Just look at the details in the Belly Jingle! The gold work on the belt has a three dimensional appearance. A pose stand has been included to assist with resizing all of the modifiable pieces as needed.
