For those of you who, like me, loved Bettie...

One of the most controversial yet pivotal persons of our day and age has left this life behind. The proclaimed "Queen of Pin-up", Playmate, and "Bad Girl Next Door" Bettie Page passed away of complications from a heart attack on December 11, 2008 at the ripe old age of 85. She was a legend, a role model, and a world-renowned beauty. Her controversial photographs encouraged women to express themselves and to be confident and comfortable with her own sexuality. Her image spawned half a century of paintings, posters, action figures, dolls, hairstyles, clothing, and even shoes. No other photographed model in history is more recognizable than Bettie Page. My own personal "naughty Marilyn". Bettie Page will remain an icon for the sexual revolution for centuries to come.
